4 New Features for Facebook Page Admins You Probably Missed
As digital marketers, we are always looking to make our job more effective, and this includes researching for new tools, features and ways to constantly improve our results and meet marketing objectives. Large Social Networks and Marketing Platforms like Facebook are continually introducing new tools to help marketers into their daily activities. As such, last week Facebook launched 4 new features for page admins, which includes a new Call-To-Action button (helping businesses to achieve their objectives), Interest Targeting (reaching the right people has never been more easier), Post End Date (specify a time and date to stop showing a post in News Feed) and Smart Publishing (identify and publish stories that are popular with people in Facebook).
These features will make life much more easier for all Facebook Publishers. If you have already heard for these new features and have started using them, then good for you, they’re great -, if haven’t done so, than continue to read this article.
Designed to bring a business’s most important objective to the forefront of its Facebook presence, call-to-action buttons link to any destination on or off Facebook that aligns with a business’s goals.
There are seven call-to-action buttons that can be added to the top of the page. Call-to-Action buttons are placed to the left of like button. Here are the options:

The call-to-action feature will roll out in the US over the next few weeks and worldwide next year.
2. Interest Targeting
This feature will help Pages show the right posts to the right people. For example, a publisher can use Interest Targeting to post a story about a sports game that will only be shown to people that like the teams playing.
This feature is available to all pages who have enabled Targeting and Privacy setting. Right now can be used only from desktop.
3. Post End Date
This feature allows page admins to specify a date and time when a post will stop showing in News Feed. This can be useful to remove out-dated content like weather reports.
Same as Interest Targeting, this features is also available for all pages who have Targeting and Privacy enabled and is also accessible only from desktop.
4. Smart Publishing
It’s a new feature that identifies and published stories that are popular with people in Facebook.
Once this feature is enabled, frequent links shared from your website will start appearing in News Feed for people who like your page. These posts will not appear on your Page, but you’ll have access a new dashboard in Insights to see analytics, moderate comments, and choose which you want to post to your Page.
Smart Publishing isn’t currently available for all pages, only for a limited number of media organizations. To start using this feature page admins can opt into Smart Publishing from the Publisher Tools section within Page settings.
