Kiwi is a restaurant LMS designed specifically for restaurant chains and their franchises. Being an online, cloud-based platform, Kiwi LMS helps reduce training costs and shorten onboarding time.

We hired Manaferra to provide us with expert knowledge around SEO and Content Marketing. They were able to identify opportunities for improvement within our existing website and establish and execute a strategy of growth that brought us a record increase in traffic and leads that eventually converted to sales.

The Challenge

  • The website was two years old but had only four referring domains linking back to the site.
  • The website was built on static HTML pages which made it difficult to optimize for SEO (basic SEO meta tags were missing from all pages, causing all sorts of issues with canonicalization, duplicate content, and more).
  • There were only seven pages of unique content & a blog section with duplicate content on the site.
  • The site was ranking for only one non-branded keyword on the 1st page.

What did we do?

  • Website Quality Audit: Identified and fixed technical & on-page SEO issues like wrong/missing canonicalization, keyword-optimized titles, description & on-page content, deindexed duplicate content & fixed broken page, optimized internal linking between important pages and more.
  • Keyword Research: Identified new keywords to target with existing and new pages. We did keyword research for transactional pages (feature pages, homepage, etc) and for blog content (top of the funnel content to generate visibility, attract links, and strengthen the brand).
  • Content Strategy: Analyzed the existing content & what the competition is doing. Identified gaps in the market & built a content strategy to target topics (top of the funnel). All this was organized in a content calendar (updated every three months) and accompanied by a content style guide to have consistency in how we present the brand.
  • Content Writing: We created new SEO-friendly content for their transactional pages & also wrote articles to be published in their blog + link building campaigns.
  • Link Building Strategy: Analyzed the industry, audited the competition, defined the target pages where we need links, identified a set of techniques we can use to build links & set link building goals to be achieved.
  • Prospecting & Outreach: Identified relevant websites & reached out to them with the goal of getting links. We built 42 unique backlinks in six months (a mix of resource page & guest post link building). Avg. DR for these backlinks was 44.
  • Website Redesign: We designed and developed a new better & faster website for startkiwi.com (migrated them from static HTML pages to WordPress).
